When we come into this world, all our parents want us to have a better life than they had—a future filled with success, happiness, and good health.
If you’re a mom or dad, you have the same wish for your kids and work hard to ensure they’ll lead better lives than yours.
But as time passes, problems crop up, and those promises of a better life may seem out of reach due to financial, health, or other setbacks.
This same struggle is part of the story of the people of Israel. There was a promise from God to them, yet they were living as enslaved people in Egypt. It was only when they cried out to God that their situation began to change. In Exodus 3:7-8, God told Moses:
“I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”
Are you still waiting for a chance to turn your life around? Don’t wait any longer—the transformation you desire and the brighter future you long for is just a matter of action. Just as the people of Israel cried out to God, you can, too, do it, and you will see the power of God in your life.
Pray to the One who can change your life. God is listening and ready to answer your prayers.
With God, we do not need to fear the future!
