By now most have heard this story: The one about the young boy who killed down a giant. Yes, it’s the same one you heard growing up as a child. David and Goliath. In biblical times many looked at Goliath as invincible because of his size and the same happens today.

The name of the giant might have changed but it is still that big problem that hangs over a person’s life. And you… what is your Goliath? Perhaps it is that health problem that the doctor said has no cure or the family problem, or finances, and this problem has been ripping you apart little by little. No matter what the problem is, there is a stone that can knock it down.

Perhaps you’ve tried many things and time and time again it seems that the problem is too big for you. But it isn’t too big for God. David’s strength did not come from himself, it came from God.

“Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts…” I Samuel 17:45

The moment David realized Who was with him, a great strength built inside of him because he knew that God was able to change the situation.

So again the question is, what is your Goliath? Because no matter how big or how invincible it seems to be, it is no match for God. Your faith is the strength that you need to knock it down. Don’t forget there is nothing too big for God.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
