How many times when growing up, did your parents say things like;
If you get a good report card this school year I will take you to the waterpark!
If you wash the dishes I will increase your allowance!
If you complete your homework on time you can play your video game!
Like any other kid, you strove to complete your part of the agreement and ran to your parents to collect what was yours.
On the other hand, you have some cases where the child did not live up to their part of the agreement and if they dared to try and collect the reward, they would receive a resounding no as a answer.
Why?
Because they didn’t do their part.
The same applies to the Word of God. If you do your part, you will enjoy the benefits of it.
As it is written,
If you are willing and obedient,You shall eat the good of the land; Isa.1.19
