Water is essential for the human being. It makes up about 60 percent of the body. We need it to sustain ourselves. It is the base for almost everything we consume, it is necessary for the growth of food as well as to provide heat, electricity, air and so much more. Water is certainly crucial – it is a base and can be transformed into great and powerful things.
In fact, the first recorded miracle that Jesus performed was turning water into wine. Jesus took the base, the simple, flavorless, colorless, tasteless substance and transformed it. This is what God wants to do in your life as well. He wants to take the base of your life and build on it until there is a total transformation.
Perhaps your life was once like the wine; rich, flavorful and unique but it seems that from night to day, it was turned back into water. Now, you look around and you see nothing special but the transformation is still in your reach. The Word of God tells us that things may come against us but we already have a solution:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
“These things” meaning the health issue you are facing, the family problem, financial difficulty, depression, thoughts of giving up and anything else you may be facing, are nothing before God.
Right now, you have the authority to tell these problems that God is with you and so they have no place in your life anymore. Give God this life that brings you no joy and cling to Him like never before. The closer you are to God, the closer He is to you and the further away your old life has to stay.
