Nobody wants to buy something that is about to expire. “Best by”… “sell by”…” use by”… “do not use after” is the first thing you look at in a product before you buy it.

The expiration date indicates how long the product will be suitable for consumption. After the date expires, there is no use for that product.

The same happens to us. We may not have an expiration date on our bodies; however, we are born, we grow up, we live, and one day we will all die, and our bodies will no longer be useful to this world. But what you may not know is that our soul remains forever.

The soul is eternal. If you want to know more about your soul, there is no better place than the Bible.

Read below what the rich man said:

“And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?” Luke 12:19-20

Dear friend, maybe you’ve said the same thing that this rich man said- “let me enjoy life!” “We only live once!”But you can’t forget that what determines where your soul goes is how you live your life here on earth.

What guarantees the salvation of your soul is when your life is in the God’s hands.

Take care of your soul by attending church services, seeking the Holy Spirit, praying, and practicing what you learn from the Bible.

Persevere, fight the good fight daily, to overcome your fleshly desires and your own will. By doing so, you will achieve the salvation of your soul.

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
