“Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back!” We see it in many commercials, on products; companies and brands so certain that their product will not fail. So much so, that they are willing to give a guarantee.

Are there really any guarantees in life? Current events alone are enough to prove that life can change in an instance. Nothing is guaranteed.

As human beings we are always preparing for tomorrow. Save, plan for the future, prepare for a “rainy day.” However, many forget to prepare their soul or even worse, they get relaxed in their faith and shift their focus away from their soul, on to other things.

It’s quite easy to fall into a routine, to feel as though a title or the amount of time being in church guarantees a strong relationship with God. Unfortunately, this is a great deceit that has pulled many away from their faith.

Let us not be like the man in the parable that stored up many goods thinking it would satisfy his soul. (Luke 12:16-21) Instead, the Word of God gives us a goal for our soul.

“…receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:9

Those who want to be saved have to keep going strong until the end. Do not allow your faith to take a break. Perhaps you have been running on empty and you feel yourself pulling away from your faith. It isn’t too late.  You have the opportunity right now to turn to God and ask Him for the salvation of your soul and keep working on it every day, until the very end.

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
