If you take a nail and hammer it into a piece of wood, even if you pull it out later, the nail marks will remain in the wood.

The hearts of many people are still carrying the marks of betrayal, abuse, broken promises, or some disappointment caused by others who they trusted.

Trustworthiness, integrity, and keeping promises are rare traits these days. Many are those who want to find someone with all of these qualities, but few are those who strive to be that kind of person.

Maybe your heart looks like wood with many nail marks. You keep your promises, and in return, you feel the pain of being deceived by broken promises like the examples below:

– Love life: At the altar you two promised to be faithful until the end, but today your marriage is destroyed because you discovered an affair.

– Financial life: You have opened a business with someone, but recently discovered that the person is stealing from you.

– Family: You gave your best to your children, but have come to find out that they are involved in drugs.

– Health: The doctor promised the medication would solve the problem, but your health has since worsened.

Remember that we human beings are full of mistakes, but God will never disappoint you. What He promised, He will do as His word says:

“For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth.” Psalms 33.4

It is time to remove all the marks of disappointment from your heart.

Trusting that God will keep His promises in your life is a matter of faith!

Besides all of the promises to give you a better life, don’t forget that the greatest promise He ever made, was the promise to give you His Spirit. If you believe in this promise, then make it your mission to receive Him. In fact, He can close the holes that were life by past afflictions.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
