Babies cry when they are hungry, and the mother gives them milk. They also cry when they feel tired and the mother sings to them, and soon they sleep like angels. Even without words, a baby first learns to ask.

Imagine if the baby never cries to communicate. The mother would overlook the baby’s needs.

There is a saying: “If you don’t ask, the answer is already no.”

The first step in asking is knowing what you need. It seems obvious, but many are those who don’t know exactly what they need.

Others already know but prefer not to ask because they are afraid of getting a “NO.”

What exactly are you in need of?

Think about what you need in your life right now; Would you say peace and love from your family, or financial success, or a cure for a disease?

If you are clear about your needs, then the next question is who do you need to ask?

Dear friend, the answer to that question is simple and obvious, GOD!

It doesn’t matter what you need. For God, nothing is impossible. If you ask, you will receive as His word says:

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Luke 11. 9-10.

Don’t be afraid to ask God for what you want. Keep asking, seeking, knocking, and He will give it to you.

If you want God to give you the Holy Spirit, you will not lack anything in your life, because the Holy Spirit will guide you in every situation.

Use your words and express your needs to God in prayer, be sincerer, be clear, and believe.

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
