Imagine a man in tremendous pain, walking into the emergency room and sitting there in silence. As the nurse approaches him and asks what seems to be the problem he continues in silence. The doctor comes in and says, “ sir, I can’t help you unless you ask for it. Or at least tell me what’s wrong.”
This is the situation that many are in today. The Lord Jesus left clear instructions:
“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:8
God is ready to help, heal, prosper and restore, but if we don’t ask, He won’t be able to help. Perhaps you have been working so hard to change your life on your own but have been knocking on the wrong doors.
Do not be discouraged. Ask Him for help, because when you seek Him you will find Him. Your victory is just behind the door… but first you have to knock.
