The human body has been a marvel since the beginning of time. As years go on, new discoveries, treatments and scientific solutions have been introduced to prolong life and keep our bodies strong and healthy. There is a specialist for about every inch of our bodies; specialists who care for our brain to our toes. Yet, there is no specialist for our most important component: our soul.
We are all made up of three parts: body, spirit (mind) and soul. No human on earth lacks one of these three things.
The older we get the more obvious our mortality becomes. Our body needs attention, it is important to take care of our body and keep in good health, but we cannot forget about the health of our soul.
Just as the body needs attention, the soul needs attention too – even more so! We can’t see the soul, the mirror only shows us our physical body but, on the inside, the soul is asking for care.
“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:7
The verse makes no mention of a soul’s destination because no one can determine this for us. We are responsible for this.
When we care for our soul, we are caring for our future. Our body may fade but our soul lives on. When we show an interest in our soul, we are saying to God that we want our future to be with Him and He helps us to make that happen.
May the God of the Bible bless you,
