The longest, most impactful and most dazzling river in the world is the Amazon River. This river is so important that it provides a fifth of the fresh water that pours into the worlds oceans. It could literally quench the thirst of every human being on Planet Earth.
For scientists, the Amazon River is the most important. It has the most spectacular and fearsome, and often never-before-seen marine species in the world. That in itself is amazing!
You may not be able to imagine… but this mighty river was born from a small spring.
One characteristic of a spring is that it never stops giving water. And the water represents life. For example, would you refuse to give a glass of water to someone that was thirsty? Of course not! You would surely provide a glass of water to anyone who needs it.
Spiritually speaking, if you feel thirsty, Jesus has the water that you need. And he won’t deny you either. The water that He has is not the one that you drink everyday, but it is the water of eternal life.
“…But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4: 14
God doesn’t just want to give you the water; He wants to turn you into a spring of His water, so that you can bring life to those around you.
Invite Jesus into your life, drink of His water, and become a fountain of living water in His mighty hands.
If you feel powerless in life, remember that the Amazon River was born from a simple small spring, but formed into the most impressive and important river on the planet.
