An athlete trains relentlessly and consistently, even on days when he feels no motivation to. Whether he likes it or not, he trains because he has discipline. The goal is to be first to cross the finish line.
Coming in first place makes us feel good and accomplished. For example, every writer dreams of their book being on top of the best sellers list. That’s why writers spend so many hours and even days thinking about every word, phrase, chapter and even characters in their book. They often deprive themselves of time with their family in order to dedicate themselves entirely to writing. They want the book to be the best.
It’s not hard to recognize that every human being rejects the idea of being last. Remember when you were in line at the market or the bank and you were last in line. It was extremely annoying, right?
But Jesus goes against the rules of this world and teaches us:
” So, the last will be first, and the first will be last.” Matthew 20:16
If you are tired of being the “last” in life and cannot bear a lifetime of losses and sadness, put God first, and you will no longer be the last.
God wants to change your reality and make you a winner. But for Him to do that, you have to put Him in front of you. He won’t accept to be last in your life, because He knows what He has to offer.
The moment you start to put God first and put yourself last (spiritually speaking), He will make you first. And as a result, the blessings that come from being first in God’s eyes will come upon your life.
That’s the secret to success!
May the God of the Bible bless you,
