When driving down a hill the initial reaction is to keep your foot on the brake. Knowing that if you remove your foot from it, gravity will take its natural course and pull you down.

Let us imagine for a moment that gravity represents the problems you’ve been going through. Your life has been going downhill and you can’t seem to put your foot on the brake.

  • You’ve lost your job.
  • Your relationship came to an abrupt, unexplained end.
  • You are on yet another medication for an illness.

It’s time to put your foot on the brake and say, “Wait a minute, Jesus has already finished this.”

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30

What did He mean when He said, “It is finished!”? The troubles of your life, the sickness, the depression, a broken home and so on. Jesus put an end to our suffering! So put your foot on the brake and remember this Word. Confess that this problem is already finished in your life.

…And watch it disappear.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
