An X-Ray gives an inside vision of a person’s body: The most familiar use of X-Rays is checking for fractures or broken bones. But X-Rays are also used in other ways. For example, chest x-rays can spot pneumonia; mammograms use X-Rays to look for signs of breast cancer, and so forth.
God’s eyes work just like an X-Ray! You may try to hide behind beautiful church clothes, a beautiful smile or beautiful makeup, but God is able to see past all of that. He knows how broken you are and sees the insides of you – parts that nobody else is able to see. He sees the deepest thoughts of your soul and heart.
So, trying to pretend or hide your true feelings from God is pointless! You can be in the smallest corner of the earth, but He will still be able to find you and know what is going on inside of you. My question is: What is the point in trying to hide your true colors from God, who is able to actually help you and transform your life? Unlike humans who judge and reject you, God invites you to offload all your ‘ugliness’ – all of those negative feelings onto His altar and in exchange He gives you hope and happiness.
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
Be sincere, humble yourself before the Lord, say: “Here I am… this is who I am… I need to change”, and rest assured that He will jump into action. You don’t need to harbor negative feelings, all God wants is sincerity.
This kind of sincerity will lead to a new life, inside and out.
May the God of the Bible bless you,
