What happened that made you lose your joy? You don’t want to live anymore because you have an incurable disease, you’ve lost a loved one or your marriage has fallen apart and since then you have lost sight of life. Your joy has been stolen and you have tried everything to get it back but to no avail.
When we think of a thief, we think of someone who takes from others with no regard for their feelings or how they will be affected. They bring pain to those around them. The devil is the biggest thief of all, and he does not aim for the physical riches, he wants to steal your joy.
The word of God says: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
The thief is the one who came to steal everything from you. There may be an addiction that has stolen your family, your health, finances and you wonder if there is a way to gain it back. God is giving you a way right now.
The Lord Jesus does not only promise that you will have life but an abundant life. This means that all that was lost to you will not only be returned but that He will bring an abundance of His blessings to you.
May the God of the Bible bless you,
