Do you accept to go to the supermarket and purchase expired milk, cheese, bread, meat? I am sure your answer will be no!

Why not?

Because we all know expired food is dangerous and not good for our well-being. When you find an expired item in the supermarket, you don’t take it home with you but you leave it behind and take something that is good within the healthy date guidelines. Keep this concept with you while you read the Bible verse below:

“…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” Philippians 3:13

Why is it so easy to leave expired food behind but so hard to leave the past behind? Instead you accept to carry the traumas of the past with you year after year, place after place, into relationship after relationship?

While you are bound to the past, you will never ever move ahead. Why not? Because your past holds you and pulls you backwards. It is not even good to keep talking about your past. You should forget about it, because you can’t go back in time and change anything in your past.

Think with me: Why did God make our eyes in front of us and not behind us? So that we can look forward not backwards!

So for that reason, this is my advise for you;

Forget the past, move forward, because what God has for you is ahead of you and not behind you.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
