Normally when someone wants to be alone they go to a place where they know that they will not find a lot of people; or distractions in other words.
When a solider goes to war they have no entertainment; they don’t take cell phones, computers, games etc. Why? Because they have to be focused on the war.
The same idea can be applied when it comes to the spiritual realm. Take a look at these examples of people who had to take some time alone in order to reach their goals.
Jesus, John the Baptist, Moses and all the heroes of faith began their victory not in the city but in the desert!
God did not prepare Moses to be a spiritual leader in the palace. He went to the wilderness and there he spent 40 years far from the palace, far from the city, alone with himself and God.
What’s the point? The point is that being alone for the right reason is not always bad… it’s even sometimes necessary!
In the Universal Church we’ve just begun the 21 Day Fast of Daniel and you are invited to join us. The Fast of Daniel is a chance for you to separate yourself from the worldly distractions and begin a new relationship with God.
Maybe your relationship with God is up and down but God wants you to have a close relationship with Him.
This journey is to prepare you for a new level in life. Are you willing to do what it’s takes?
May the God of the Bible bless you.
