There are many different ways to identify a person. But there is one way that we are all familiar with, when it comes to identifying someone, and that’s through the fingerprint. Not even twins have the same fingerprint. A fingerprint is extremely unique.
Let’s look at this in a spiritual way. Picture someone saying I am blessed by the best (referring to God) but when you look at their life, you only see poverty, sickness and pain. What would you think?
I’m sure you would think that their fingerprint (life) was not showing the identity of the God of the Bible.
Now, what about your life, in all sincerity, who’s identity does it reflect… God’s or not?
The first step to getting help is to acknowledge that you have a problem.
Look at this example from the Bible:
So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. Mark 10:51-52
This man acknowledged his problem. He did not accept it… don’t confuse the two because acceptance and acknowledgement are completely different.
But what this man did was right, because He acknowledged the problem and went to the One who could help solve it.
Now go ahead and take the fingerprint of your life, and give it to God, acknowledging that it needs to be fixed. God is with you and for you!
May the God of the Bible bless you.
