for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
(Matthew 17:20)
Our battles are daily. If they’re not against external problems, they’re against our own will. There’s always a battle going on; this is why faith must be put to practice on a daily basis. Like a muscle that needs to be exercised to prevent atrophy, so is faith-it has to be practiced daily so it won’t become weak.
Faith is the channel of communication with God. This channel must be clean and clear to be efficient. Just as you are bound to deal with your problems on a daily basis, you must also exercise your faith on a daily basis. Don’t try to solve your problems by yourself. Don’t try to run away from your problems by accepting invitations to events that won’t solve them. Don’t try to numb the pain with substances that will bring you more problems then relief.
You only learn how to use your faith when you start using your faith, so don’t expect to receive instructions from your pastor, bishop, or any other spiritual authority. You have the key to unlock all doors.
