One of the first steps you must take if you want to change your life and have a better year, is to change your vision. I’m not talking about your physical vision. But about your spiritual vision. In short, the way you see things. Many times there may be great opportunities for you to take possession of, but they may also come with some difficulties. For example, a job that will pay big money may come with a rigorous exam or difficult training period. At the moment that you learn how hard it will be, you have a choice to see it as impossible to achieve or as a challenge worth facing and overcoming. It’s all about how you see it.

In the days of Moses, twelve spies from Israel went to see the Promised Land, and they saw that the land was good. But they also saw the enemies. And were afraid because they were giants. What this means is that they saw the blessing and they saw the problems. The problem is that they gave more attention to the problems than they did the blessing. So they ended up giving a bad report to the rest of the people.

“We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out.  (Numbers 13:31-32)

Maybe this is you. Maybe you pay more attention to your problems then you do to the blessings promised by God. You know, when you look up you will see the power of God, but when you look down, you are bound to see only problems.

Your faith needs to elevate. Your vision needs to elevate. Even though you may be surrounded by problems, you need to see with the eyes of faith and believe that there is a solution.

God already knows what He will do to remove the giants, but He will not do it until you show Him that you believe He can. That’s faith. That’s believing the good report.

May the God of the Bible bless you
