If you are hungry, and in dire need of something to eat, even if I have food to give to you… I can not eat for you. You have to eat for yourself. No one can eat or drink for you. You have to do it for yourself.
And the same applies when you are in pain and suffering in life. You can not depend on a pastor, friend, family member, or anyone to fix your problems. When you were a baby, you had to depend on your parents to feed you and help you. But as an adult, you no longer depend on them. You do for yourself. And you must learn to do for yourself now.
The Word of God is clear when it says,
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
Jesus wants to destroy the works of the devil in your life. But you have to call on Him for help. And you have to follow His instructions. You have to be willing to do what He says. It’s all about you. You have to do your part. No one can do it for you.
Help yourself by taking action, and you will be helping God to help you.
