If you want to see results in any area of your life, you have to be willing to sacrifice over and over again to get them. For example, if a person says I want to loss or gain a few pounds and decides to start working out in a gym. The person needs to be aware from the very beginning that it will be painful, it will be hard, and they will have to put effort (not just a little bit) to see their body change. They can not just exercise one time a month or even a week and expect to look and feel better. They have to do it again and again and again.
The same applies with the things of God. There are people that want to do something for God once or twice (and with little effort) then expect God to manifest His greatness. It doesn’t work like that. Just like some people make a sacrifice to God, but don’t do it the way He asks. They do something difficult, but not something that seems crazy. They do something challenging, but not something that makes them gasp just at the thought of doing it. So basically they are holding back.
Elijah the Prophet made a challenge on Mt. Carmel and both he and the false prophets had to present a sacrificial bull. But the difference between them and him (besides the fact that they were serving a false god) was the effort in the sacrifice. Elijah did not only present the bull, but he also made the people pour water (which was as precious as gold at that time) all over the sacrifice making it almost impossible for it to catch fire. And he did not only do it once, he said:
“And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, Fill four water pots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice …“Do it a second time,”… “Do it a third time,” 1 Kings 18:33-35
And that is the kind of faith that calls God’s attention. When a person is willing to go all the way and really present their life for the life He has for them. Today myself along with more than 150 Men of God will be praying for you on Mount Carmel. If you did as Elijah and presented your bull and the water, you can be sure that the Fire of God (the Holy Spirit) as well as the results, will come into your life.
May the God of the Bible Bless You
