What does it mean to be blessed? What is it to be the possessor? Let me give you an example. What is the best tasting, most delicious meal that you’ve ever eaten? I’m not talking about something that you just liked a little bit, but something that you very happy to eat. Maybe it was ever super expensive and so you could only afford it every now and again. But even the thought makes you happy. Now imagine that you were able to eat that meal anytime you wanted. Imagine you have such a blessed life that you could eat anything you wanted, could shop wherever you wanted, could pay your bills even in advance, and on top of that, you have a happy marriage, good health and are strong spiritually. That would make you a possessor.
Being the possessor is not about money alone, it’s about a total, all around well being in life. It’s about having the entire cake, not just a slice. The scriptures say:
Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways.
When you eat the labor of your hands,
You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Psalms 128:1-2
There is a special blessing for those who follow God. God takes care of you and blesses every area of your life so that you may be fulfilled. Abraham was the Father of faith. He obeyed and followed God diligently. As a reward Abraham was blessed in everything, he was a blessing in all the areas of his life.
If you read the entire chapter of Psalms 128 you will see that there is a complete blessing for every area of your life. This goes to show that if we please God, He will take care of us and our household.
Abraham raised his hands to the Lord and the Lord blessed the work of his hands and wherever he went he was blessed. God wants to do the same for you. The blessing of the possessor is when you are happy and the work of your hands produce fruit. When a person is faithful to God these are the blessings that come upon their life in every area.
Throughout the month of December, we will be praying every single day for the Lord to give you the Blessing of the Possessor.
May the God of the Bible bless all of you!
