When you furnish a house, you fill it with what belongs in each room.
Living room:
Couch, chairs, TV, table…
Dining room:
Dining table, chairs…
Kitchen:
Stove, refrigerator, cabinets…
Bedroom:
Bed, dresser, wardrobe…
You don’t leave the house empty. You furnish it and occupy it.
Your spiritual house is the same.
When God delivers you, don’t leave your spiritual house empty. Furnish it with the things of God:
Prayer
Bible reading
The Holy Spirit, His presence
The fear of God
Obedience
Worship
Fellowship
The Lord Jesus said: it may return and find the house “empty, swept, and put in order.” Then it brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself. (Matthew 12:43-45)
Deliverance gets the enemy out, but your life with God keeps the house occupied.
When the evil spirit comes back looking for a place to live, there should be no vacancy.
The house is furnished, the house is occupied, and the presence of God is there.
Don’t leave your spiritual house empty!
May the God of the Bible bless you,
Bishop Bira Joshua
