How…
This word: how can it be so simple yet complex at times?
Example: How are you?
Simple question, right?
Not for everyone. If the person is doing well, it’s a simple answer: “I am well, thank you, and you?”
On the other hand, if the person is not well. The answer would be completely different. They might say, “I am not well,” and give examples of why they are not doing well.
Sometimes, when someone is not doing well, it is visible even without them saying a word. The signs can be seen in how they carry themself, how they talk, and even how they walk.
Have you noticed that in someone before? Would you consider yourself to be observant? Do you pay attention to small details?
Did you know that the Lord Jesus also pays attention to small details? Yes, He does.
“Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much.” Mark 12:41
On Sunday, I read this Bible passage, and I made it clear to the congregation:
I was not talking about their financial offerings, but I am talking about the daily offering to the Lord. This is very deep. Stay with me here.
I told them the Lord’s Supper symbolizes God’s Offering for us. I asked, “What kind of offerings have we been giving to the Lord?”
I emphasized the word HOW with these questions:
When you pray to God in the morning,
HOW do you pray?
When you read the Bible,
HOW do you read the Bible?
Maybe you say, “I am not a religious person,” and I understand, but this goes far beyond religious practice.
Let me bring it to everyday life:
In your workplace,
HOW do you perform?
Some people are active only in the presence of their boss, supervisor, or manager.
In your personal life,
HOW do you treat your loved ones? Husband, wife, father, mother, children, etc.
Some people are only united on social media posts.
This is a big one:
HOW do you treat the soul inside of you?
There is a special day in The Universal Church that takes care of the soul (Wednesday), and you are welcome to join us tomorrow, bring your Bible if you have one.
