Have you taken part in a court proceeding before?
Whether it be jury duty or:
• You had to represent someone
• You went to support someone.
Depending on the case, you probably saw someone placing their hand on the Holy Bible while replying to this question:
“Do you swear that the evidence you shall give to the court in this matter shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you, God?”
Typically, this person will share an eyewitness account related to the case. What they say is taken very seriously, and they are trusted to tell the truth of what happened.
When it comes to the spiritual realm, it is not so much about what you say but how you live. Your life must be that witness. And this is only possible with the filling of the Holy Spirit.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts1;8)
No matter where you are in this world, you can be a witness today:
• In your home
• Your workplace
• Your school
• Your community, etc.
