Imagine if every negative word you ever said came true. Every headache that you had was intensified just by you confessing it. Every bad joke that you made about your family became a reality, or every time you claimed your diagnosis, that disease was prolonged in your life. Little do we know that the words we say have power.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21
Perhaps you have encountered a very talkative person, or maybe you are that person. Either way, I am sure you can agree that when we say too much, we end up saying the wrong things. Our words can either be used to glorify God and confess His promises in our lives or applaud the work of evil against us. How do we applaud evil? When our words confess the problem instead of the solution written in the word of God. Phrases like: “My disease,” “My unemployment,” and “My bad luck” are just a few ways our words applaud evil.
Your words may have become a curse upon your life. It is now time to change who you are glorifying through your words. Let them be used to confess life over yourself and see how God’s plan will be fulfilled in you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
