I promise to be with you in sickness and in health…
I promise to take care of you.
I promise to accompany you when you go for your test results at the lab.
I promise to take you for lunch on Tuesday.
I promise to finance your travel expenses.
Did someone promise you one of the above?
Did they fulfill their promise?
Maybe you were already reminded how often you were disappointed by people who broke their promises.
The spouse who promised to stand by you in sickness and health has already left you!
The friend that promised to pay your travel expenses left you in debt!
These broken promises have left you with a mindset not to trust anyone again because so many have disappointed you. This is understandable because of human errors and lack of perfection.
But when it comes to the God of the Bible, you can take His Word to the bank and cash it! What He promised, He fulfills.
“For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord…” Jeremiah 30:17
He can restore your shattered dreams.
He can restore your inner wounds.
He can restore your broken heart.
No matter your wounds, the one who promised is faithful and willing to fulfill His promise. You need to trust Him, remember that He has no flaws or limitations, and grant Him access to restore your entire life!
