If you’ve never built a sandcastle, you’ve seen someone else do it. Think about that one person who created this giant sandcastle on the beach, day in and day out, so focused on perfecting it that they missed out on the waves, the warm sunshine, and quality time with their loved ones. Then, out of the blue, poof! A big wave wipes it all out. They realize they’ve missed out on the fun of the vacation by being so focused on something temporary and fragile.
This little scenario isn’t just about sandcastles. It’s a reflection of our lives. Are you also spending your time on something temporary and fragile?
Dear friend, you might be focusing on friendships, financial success, sculpting your body, or achieving your dream degree. Your eyes might be set on that dream car, the perfect house, and the latest gadgets. It’s natural to desire the best, but when these become your priority, they’re like your sandcastle.
The Bible says in Luke 12:20.21, “…You fool! ‘This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
Everything is necessary, but salvation is a must. Spend time with God and attend church services. Live a life that pleases God.
Our life on earth is temporary and should not be lost to fragile things.
Invest in the salvation of your soul.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
