We may find ourselves in situations where we don’t quite fit in, where our differences seem to overshadow our strengths. We look around and see others effortlessly swimming in the currents while we struggle to find our place like a “fish out of water.”
Are you trying to keep up with everyone else, and the self-doubt often weighs heavily upon you? You feel unworthy, like swimming against a strong current, exhausting yourself.
God knows the very depths of our hearts, and He knows our struggles. That is why He says in Isaiah 41.10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
- “So do not fear, for I am with you”: God is present with us, assuring us that we need not be afraid. It signifies that God is near and actively involved in our lives.
- “Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” Despite any difficulties or challenges, we should not be overwhelmed or discouraged.
- “I will strengthen you and help you”: Lean on Him for support and rely on His word.
- “I will uphold you with My righteous right hand”: His words assure us that He will uphold us, protecting and guiding us through any difficulties we may encounter.
So, dear friend, if you find yourself feeling like a fish out of water, remember this: We are not defined by the struggles we face or the insecurities we harbor. Now you know that God is with you! Come to Him as you are.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
