There are several types of plants in the world. Among all kinds, the epiphyte, also called the air plant, is one that depends on another plant or object for physical support. An Orchid is an example of an epiphyte.
Just as an epiphyte does not place roots in the ground to grow, but on the surface of other plants. The same happens with some people. Because they don’t have roots, they need to rely on other people for their support.
Do a self analysis. How are your roots? Spiritually speaking, have you relied on other people to receive the spiritual support you need?
The Word of God says:
“yet he has no root in himself but endures only for a while.” Matthew 13.21
You need to have roots in the kingdom of God.
If we make the Bible our support when we go through moments of tribulation, we will have everything we need to survive and remain in faith.
You need to be rooted in the word of God.
To have roots means to have a relationship with God.
Stop depending on others for spiritual support. Jesus died on the cross so you may have total freedom and access to Him through your prayers.
Get close to God through prayer and plant your roots upon His words. That’s all you need to lean on.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
