When we talk about faith, everyone says “I have faith”,
“I believe in God”, “I believe in miracles”, etc. But there are two different kinds of faith that exist. And you need to understand the difference so that you may examine yourself and see whether you are truly “in the faith” or not.
The first kind of faith is the faith to conquer blessing. This is the kind of faith the blind man had when he shouted to Jesus, “Lord, have mercy on me” and when Jesus called him over and asked what he wanted, he said, “I want to see”. That was faith to conquer the blessing.
But there exists a second kind of faith that is actually more important than the first one. The second kind of faith is faith to MAINTAIN what you’ve received… especially your salvation. Everyone says “salvation is free”, because Jesus paid for it. That is true, Jesus did pay for our sins and the price to conquer our salvation, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need faith to maintain it.
It’s like for example, if I give you a brand new car, fully paid off… you don’t need to pay the dealer for it again, but you have to pay to maintain it. You have to pay for gas, for oil changes, for tune-ups from time to time, etc. So you received it from me for free, but you have to pay to maintain it. It’s the same with your salvation.
Both kinds of faith are important, but the most important is the faith to maintain because anybody can conquer blessings, but to maintain them is what matters.
Invest in your faith, invest in your spiritual life, and God will give you faith to maintain whatever you conquer.
May the God of the Bible Bless You
