These words can bring comfort to some, but terror to others.
Maybe you heard them from a stalker when you tried to end a relationship they refused to accept. For you, those words bring fear, not peace.
But for others, these words take them back to the day of their wedding vows—Memories of love, joy, and affection. Words once filled with promise. Yet some vows were broken, and maybe that pain still weighs on you today.
What you are going through is real and understandable. But I have good news: there is One who made a promise that He will never break.
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.” (Isaiah 43:1–2)
Whatever you are facing today, God says: “Fear not. You are Mine.” You belong to Him. Whether rich or poor, black or white, young or old—He says to you right now: “You are Mine.”
Maybe you feel like you’re in deep waters. They will not drown you. Perhaps you’re in “the fire.” It will not consume you. Why? Because He is with you.
Maybe you’re preparing for surgery. Perhaps you’re standing before a judge. Maybe you’re facing immigration struggles or you’re just carrying a burden no one else can see. God says: “Fear not. I am with you. I know your name. I know your case. I have formed you, and I will never leave you.”
Share this message with someone today. Maybe they’re drowning in the waters of trouble. Perhaps the fire of problems is burning them down. They need to hear this word:
“You are Mine.”
Don’t forget it. Hold on to it. Believe it.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
