Are you a sibling or a spouse who likes to ask your loved ones how much they love you?
It is the cutest thing when a parent asks a child how much they love them, and the child tries to explain with their arms wide open and a big small on their face, saying, “I love you this much!”
That’s their best way to show the measurement of their love. For kids, it’s cute, but if they carry this mentality into adulthood, it will not be so cute with adults saying, “This is how much I love you until….”
“You do something I don’t like.”
“You stop providing for me.”
“Your health is compromised.”
Until, until, until…
This is sad, but it’s the reality of many people’s lives today. Some even get married and vow to stay together for better or worse, ‘until death do us part,’ but how many parted because of sickness, or financial hardships, just to name a few?
There are so many things to contemplate when it comes to the relationship between humanity. But when it comes to the God of the Bible, we don’t need to have any reservations because He is all-powerful and His words are true. To refresh your memory, picture the ocean in your mind right now. Are you able to measure it? That’s how great the God of the Bible is.
“He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.” (John 3:33-34)
You will not receive the Holy Spirit because you grew up inside of a church or take part in religious activities. God does not measure your deeds to see if you are suitable to receive His Spirit. What He is looking for is a sincere heart. No matter your past sins and mistakes, once you truly repent and turn to Him, you will be the ideal candidate to receive His Spirit. Don’t measure what you do for Him because He is certainly not measuring when it’s time to pure out His Spirit.
Don’t draw back; let us go all the way to the 21st Day. Oh, what a day!
May the God of the Bible bless you!
