Body language is one thing that cannot be hidden! Someone can be smiling and saying, “I am very happy,” whilst their body language is screaming, “I am in pain, help me!”

Some things don’t need to be explained—body language says it all. For example, you go to visit someone to do a wellness check. You knock, and they answer and greet you while stepping outside and closing the door behind them. What is this saying without saying it? You are not invited inside. This action is definitely not polite, but on the other hand, we have to respect a person’s personal space.

Another example of not being polite is sitting while an elder is standing next to you on public transportation. This is one more action that is not polite, and some people will even scold the person sitting down. Perhaps you are wondering what these examples have to do with the title of this blog post.

Look at this example from the Bible that shows when it’s OK not to be polite:

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” (Matthew 16:23)

Jesus knew it was not the time to be polite and that this was an attack on His faith. Today, you must know when and in what situations you should not be polite.

You should not be polite to negative thoughts—you must refuse them and cast them out of your mind.

You should not be polite to self-destructive thoughts—you must refuse them and cast them out of your life.

You should not be polite toward actions or behaviors that go against your faith and the Word of God—you must reject them and cast them out.

It is definitely OK not to be polite when confronting problems—you must refuse them, use your faith, cast them out, and be victorious.

Never forget this: You don’t need to be polite with problems. You should stand up and fight against them. Which battle do you know of that was won with politeness?

May the God of the Bible bless you!
