Dear homeowner,
I write to inform you of my plan to invade your house and rob you of everything of value that you have.
You can kindly expect me between 2 and 3 o’clock in the morning on the 15th of next month.
Sincerely Yours,
The thief in the night
Of course, this will never ever happen! Because thieves depend on the unexpected to get their work done.
On the other hand, the Lord Jesus has announced His coming so that you won’t be caught by surprise. That day will be a day of joy because it is expected.
It’s easy to sleep at night, but if you know that the thief is about to come, you don’t allow yourself to close your eyes for a second; in the same way, don’t sleep concerning your salvation. Take care of the most precious thing you have. You won’t lose this treasure if you are awake the hour that Jesus returns!
“For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.” I Thessalonians 5:2
I finish this post with the same question that’s in the title:
What’s the meaning of this?
It was a warning for you.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
