How many times have you used an alternative way? It could be as simple as coming across a road closure whilst driving home; what do you do? Take the alternative route. Right? You don’t sit in your car for hours waiting for the closed road to open; you find a different route and use what you have.

This is a simple one: you are doing house repairs and don’t have the needed screwdriver. What do you do? You probably go inside the kitchen and take out your kitchen knife; you use what you have—the alternative. As long as the job gets done—in an honest way—there is no problem in using an alternative.

Even when you go to the pharmacy, this happens sometimes. They don’t have the prescription you need, and what do they do? Suggest an alternative, problem solved, and you leave with your medicine.

How many times do people focus on what they don’t have and despise what they do have? There was a man in the Bible who understood the phrase, ‘use what you have’, and because of this, he received his answer, his miracle!

So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. (Mark 10;51-52)

This man was blind, but there was nothing wrong with his mouth, so what did he do? He used the alternative, his voice, his mouth, and Jesus even accompanied him in using what he had. Jesus knew that he was blind, but He asked him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’

It’s the same today; Jesus knows your situation, but He is asking you the same question, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’

Are you in need of healing? Go ahead and tell Him. Are you in need of a family blessing? Go ahead and tell Him. No matter what your problem is, use what you have (your faith) to accomplish your miracle.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
