I know, it’s not February yet; it’s just the second day of the New Year.
What would you do for the person you love?
Your child?
Your mother?
Your father?
Your husband?
Your wife?
There is a phrase that says actions speak louder than words. No one wants to hear, ‘I love you,’ if there is no action to back it up!
No wife accepts ‘I love you’ from a spouse who is cheating on or abusing them. The first question would be: if you loved me, why do you hurt and mistreat me?
No child accepts ‘I love you’ from a parent if there is no affection, no meals prepared, and no time to talk or teach simple tasks. The first question would be, “If you love me, why you don’t have time for me or take care of me?”
When we truly love someone, we want the best for them: spouse, sister, brother, mother, father. We strive to do the best for our loved ones.
And you know the after-effect of such actions when you have a healthy relationship; you give love and receive love in return!
I have a question for you: do you love the Lord? Well, look at what He has planned for those who love Him:
But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
There is no limit; He has all things for you. Don’t think of the old year and its pains and traumas. Use your faith in the word of the Lord and look forward to a brand-new life in this new year! It’s just the second day, and you have three hundred and sixty-four more days (leap year) to enjoy in His presence; take it, no looking back!
May the God of the Bible bless you!
