Have you noticed how carrying resentment feels like carrying a heavy stone?
The longer you hold it, the heavier it gets.
But when you choose to forgive, it’s like dropping the weight and finally being able to breathe again.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13)
Maybe someone hurt you deeply, and the wound still feels fresh. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or saying what happened was right—it means freeing yourself from the prison of bitterness. When you forgive, you’re not excusing the past; you’re opening the door to healing and peace.
Forgiveness is powerful because it sets you free. It’s a choice that invites God’s love to replace pain with strength.
This week, take the step of forgiveness. Come to the Universal Church, and let God teach you how to let go of the burden and live with a truly free heart.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
