Which successful human being in life doesn’t have a bill to pay? Think with me please – does there exist a ‘bill-free person’ in this world? Can you name even a single person? I do not think so! Even children have bills that their parents must pay for them each and every month.
The average person must pay their electric, gas, water and cable bill. So, let us say you pay for all of your bills this month. Guess what? Next month, you have to pay for them all over again!
Just as we all have bills to pay, we will all go through problems in life. Problems are like the ‘monthly bill’ for our faith. Without problems, our faith becomes relaxed, comfortable and complacent! Don’t get me wrong, God does not bring problems to our lives. However, He does give us His Helper so we may know how to overcome these problems.
When you have the Spirit of Power (Acts 1:8), the Holy Spirit inside of you, you will have problems outside, and not inside. The world could be crumbling and falling apart around you, but inside of you, you are in peace. And as you overcome one problem, your faith will grow stronger and stronger to overcome the next, and the next, and the next one.
Our Lord Jesus faced many, many problems when He walked this earth. But my friend, He did not bow down before the problems, because the Spirit that was inside of Him was GREATER than the problems before Him. Before He ascended to heaven, look at what He said to His disciples:
“In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
Those who have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Power, will have this assurance inside. Knowing that problems will come, but in the end, they will overcome all their problems! Seek for the Spirit of God while there is still a chance. Surrender your life to God and you will never miss a ‘payment’ on your ‘monthly bill.’
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
(Revelations 2:29)
