Picture this scenario:

You are inside your house, busy in the kitchen or doing something important that is taking up all your focus. When you are suddenly jolted from your focus to realize – someone, a complete stranger, is in your home. This thief broke into your house with no warning, no invitation, and without knocking. Within seconds, this criminal steals your precious possessions, lays waste to you and your loved ones and before leaving, destroys the little that was left of your once peaceful home.

Sounds horrible doesn’t it? Sounds like something you watch in a horror film, right? Well dear reader, this is the reality when it comes to a person’s life before God and the enemy. Although this may sound horrific, it occurs to thousands of Christians every day.

How? Let us read the Word of God for a better understanding:

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” (John 10:10)

The enemy is a thief. He does not and will not ask permission to ‘enter your house.’ In other words, he will not think twice when it comes to destroying someone’s life.

Our Lord Jesus on the other hand, He is a Gentleman. He will not come upon the life of anyone who does not first invite Him!

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)

You may ask, ‘Bishop, how do I stop the thief from breaking into my life?’ By inviting God their first! The Lord Jesus needs our invitation to enter our life. And when we invite Him, it has to be 100%, 99% is not enough. It is either all of us for all of Him, or nothing at all. Once God is the Lord of a person’s life, the enemy has no place there. Actually – he is kicked out completely! And from that moment, your life will be protected from invasion.

May the God of the Bible bless you
