Many places have been self-proclaimed as the “happiest place on earth,” the “most beautiful place on earth,” or even the “most peaceful place on earth.” Visitors often flood to certain sites, take photos, and, for a few days, forget about their struggles and troubles.
As beautiful and breathtaking as some of these places may be, they are incomparable to the presence of God. King David, who had riches, fame, and the earthly ability to go anywhere and do anything, knew that nothing he could obtain would be better or as fulfilling as having the presence of God.
“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10
Perhaps you once experienced this: you were faithfully in God’s presence but got distracted by the “tents of iniquity.” Now, you find it difficult to enter through the church doors. Many find themselves in this position. It is easy to enter a club, bar, get-together, or vacation, but they do not enter the house of God.
Make your way to the house of God, the Lord has something great prepared for you. He has not forgotten about you. His arms are open to welcome you to the best place on earth.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
