How has your life been? Maybe you say, “I am a modern-day Job.” You only see losses, and one by one, it seems like things are going from bad to worse. Job is a prime example of loss in the Bible. In fact, it’s almost impossible to speak about loss without speaking about him.

In the face of all of these losses, Job reacted in a very human way. In many chapters, you see him complaining. The problems were there, but his reaction didn’t help him; it hurt him. It delayed God’s action in his life.

When Job decided to depend on God, He restored his life. He went from losing everything to gaining much, and he lived a long and blessed life. God has a plan for you. Job didn’t know it yet. When the devil began his attack, Job’s depression and desperation began. However, in the end, he recognized that God was in control.

For 39 chapters in the Bible, Job complained. Perhaps your complaints have been long. But think: do you believe that God is in control of your life? Then do not fear, do not complain—just trust. Bring your complaints to the altar and trust that God is in control.

“Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning…” Job 42:12

May the God of the Bible bless you!
