Some people get so used to the storm that they build a house within it. They stop fighting. They stop believing. They just try to get by and survive.
They say things like,
“Maybe this is how my life is always going to be.”
“Maybe I deserve this.”
“This is just my cross to carry.”
But Jesus never told us to accept the storm—He told us to rebuke it.
When the disciples were in the boat, and the storm came, they panicked. But what did the Lord do? He stood up and spoke to the wind and the sea:
“Peace, be still!”
(Mark 4:39)
And they obeyed.
The storm may be around you, but don’t let it get inside of you. Don’t make peace with pain. Don’t get comfortable in fear. Stand up in faith and speak to that storm.
Say,
“This problem has an end.”
“This depression is not mine.”
“This situation will not define my future.”
Jesus didn’t panic in the storm—and neither should you. Use your faith! And the storm will have to obey.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
