Normally, when you call your doctor’s office, the automated machine gives you different options. For example:
• To make an appointment, press 2.
• To cancel an existing appointment, press 3.
• To speak with a nurse, press 5.
• If this is a medical emergency, please hang up and call 911!
Likewise, some treatment advises you to skip the protocol and head straight to the emergency room in case you have a caregiver with you.
How many times have you seen someone breaking the speed limit? Most of the time, those involved are authority figures such as firefighters, police officers, ambulance personnel, and others. All of them speed past the speed limit, because it’s a life-or-death situation. Some cases can wait for the next annual visit, but emergencies must be addressed immediately.
There was a woman in Bible days who skipped the protocol. She was fed up with her suffering, and she went straight to God (the Spiritual 911)!
But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.” (1 Samuel 1:15)
She did not depend on the pastor, the priest. She went straight to God! And remember, Hannah did not have the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross yet; she did not know Him. However, on that day, she set her religious ways aside and shifted the protocol. She went straight to God!
Today, through Jesus, we have free access to God! When you say, “My Father, in the name of Jesus,” the heavens are open, the arms of God are open to hear you!
You just need to go straight away to God, as Hannah did, even though she did not have Jesus.
The same God who answered her, if you pour your soul before Him, He is going to answer you as well.
Today is the day for you who have been sick and tired of this situation, of the problem, to go to Him straight away. There’s no need for a middleman. You don’t need a pastor. Go straight to Him, skip the protocol!
May the God of the Bible bless you,
Bishop Bira Joshua
