From the time we wake up until the time we go to sleep, we hear many VOICES (WORDS). Be it the voice of your husband (or wife), parents, children, schoolmates, teachers, workmates, bosses, friends, enemies, God or the devil as well. Only those who meditate on the Word of God can hear the right voice.

In Psalm 1, King David shows us this:

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.. ” (Psalms 1: 1-2)

Meditating means stopping to think. Someone can come up to you and say negative words and those words stay in your head hammering your mind all day long.  Why? Because you can’t stop thinking about them. This shows that you have meditated on those words. And because of that, you become worried or scared. But the strongest word of all is the Word of God. When you read the Bible, you hear the voice of God. This is an opportunity for you to think and meditate on what is written. And then, all the other negative words fall to the ground (those of the doctor, the ex-husband, the lawyer, the judge, …) and the Word of God prevails in your life.

Therefore, meditate daily on the Word of God.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. “(Hebrews 4:12)
