Imagine the richest person in the world opening up their treasures to you. Think about all that you could do: the debt you could pay, the things you could purchase, all of the doors that would be unlocked for you. Now, imagine a bill coming at the end of all that spending. Every purchase, every coin spent, has to be accounted for. This is a situation similar to the one that Abraham faced. However, he refused to accept any treasures from the king of Sodom, guarding himself against attributing his success to anyone but God. He knew that he had a great Provider who came with no strings attached.
“The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” Deuteronomy 28:12
God’s desire for your life is not for you to be dependent on anyone. Perhaps you have been going through a rough patch; it seems that all doors have been closed for you. You have the opportunity to call upon God and request this promise for your life. Ask Him to open His good treasure to you. He won’t hold back His hand.
Your help comes from the Lord. The blessing of the works of your hands is something that no man can give. Only God Himself can pour out this type of blessing, and when He does, your life truly becomes a success. Everything that you put your hands to do, you will accomplish because the heavens will be open to you, and no earthly riches can compare.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
