We only hurry when we are strapped for time, running late for a flight, a doctor’s appointment, a meeting, etc.

I think it’s human nature to delay when we know we have a bit of time. If we are early for an engagement, we always find time to do something beforehand; it could be stopping for coffee or even taking a stroll in a park.

It’s the same with our documents: when we have a couple of months close to a year on the expiration date, we wait to renew the documents. If we are not careful, the year passes by, and then what do people usually do? Hurry to beat the deadline, or even end up paying to expedite the process because time ran out.

One more familiar deadline is tax time: April 15th. How many people could have filed their taxes since February but told themselves they had plenty of time? If you are one of those people, have you noticed that April 15th has already passed!? I’m sure that many unfortunately missed the deadline because they thought they had time.

This is the same thing that happened to a group of people in the Bible. They thought they had time, only to find out they didn’t!

“And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’” (Matthew 25:8-9)

How many times people say, “I have time to seek the Lord,” “I have time to surrender my life to the Lord,” “I HAVE TIME…”

The five foolish virgins mentioned in the Bible thought they had time but misused the time they thought they had. Don’t allow this to happen to you; seek the Lord while He is near.

The 21-Day Fast of Daniel has ended, but this does not mean you don’t need to seek the Holy Spirit—you should seek even more. This is the greatest investment you could ever make! Hurry, do not delay; do it today and every day.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
