There was a man who lived for one hundred and seventy-five years. Another lived seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and another lived nine hundred and sixty-nine. These men were Abraham, Lamech, and Methuselah, whose lives are recorded in the Book of Genesis. People living to these ages in present times are unheard of.

However, the real focus of today is the health and strength of their bodies. Imagine living this long. Nowadays, by a certain age, many complain about the aches and pains of their body. Some even younger are experiencing complications in their health. Abraham, the youngest of the men from above, was said to have died at a “good old age.”

Age isn’t the problem, nor is time; it is where this health and strength comes from. Yes, we must take the steps to care for our body: eating well, exercising, and visiting the doctor, but we must not forget about the step of faith.

“It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:8
