Being first holds a lot of importance. There is a special place in a parent’s heart for the firstborn. Coming first in a competition or event is considered a victory.
We live in a daily cycle of ‘firsts’ each day as we have the opportunity to start all over again, and the first thing we do makes a great impact on the rest of our day.
What is the first thing that you do when you wake up? Perhaps you are thinking, “I check my phone,” “I brush my teeth,” or “I start getting ready for work or school.” Perhaps you wake up immediately thinking of all the things that you need to get done. But don’t forget, first things first, for those who value their relationship with God—His Word.
With so much to do, it’s easy to forget what’s most important. However, when you put God first, your first words, thoughts, and actions will be directed to Him. Surely, all the things you need to accomplish that day will be blessed; the things that were meant to go wrong will go right because you already gave your day to God.
It isn’t too late. You can do it right now.
